Community response of new ubuntu artwork

You're missing the point. Forward thinking is not the point.

The problem is not in the attudes of people towards the images. The
problem is not that some people are "Prudish" or that others are
"Liberal". The problem is that no matter what you do, people wil ALWAYS
have different views on something. This is why almost every OS in
existence chooses something very neutral as a boot screen and default
background, and even then they still sometines manage to offend someone
in spite of their efforts. For instance, very few etnic Zulus would use
SuSE Linux since the chameleon is considered a bad omen. Like it or not,
Ubuntu is going to have to at least try to please everyone on this
issue.
