Community response of new ubuntu artwork

I'm not the slightest bit [i:1bee44e2d7]offended[/i:1bee44e2d7] by the images used, but I certainly don't agree that the default images convey any kind of "philosophy" about anything. Photographs of real people, not to mention half-naked people, draw way too much attention in themselves to be able to bring across any other message. If you want to convey the idea of friendship or collaboration or whatever, an image of eg. three hands together would probably focus on it much better.
As soon as you start to have pictures of faces you start to wonder who the persons are, and what the hell they are doing on your desktop! :)

I also think the splash screen looks cheap, and when I first saw the new Monthly Calendar picture I thought "this must be a joke". But that's just me.
