Have you got WiFi working

If so could you send me anything useful for a newbe for installing and
setting it up.  This is for me and to help me write a newbie doc.  The
doc would be an accompaniment to the install guide.  Info wanted, but
not limited to:-

- non technical overview of wifi
- setting up/installing wifi
- what cards have you got working - if not out of the box what did you
have to do
- security info suitable to newbies
...
Links or info both good.
