Synaptic package manager broke

This problem does apparently only happen on ppc. I got access to a old
G3 powerbook and can reproduce the problem now (I couldn't with my
i386 machines). 

Can you please send your /root/.synaptic/synaptic.conf file to me and
remove (or rename it afterwards)? That should fix the problem.
