LCD screen "melting" in X

I have the same system and have the same problem. I havn't chased it up
yet, instead using the default ati drivers.

Apart from editing /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and changing "fglrx" to "ati"
(incuding quotes) to get your GUI working again, I can't help. I
wouldn't mind seeing a solution or hints either ;)
