Exactly. Early adopters tend to be the ones who "spread the word." 

I'll neither be using nor recommending Ubuntu if the current theme is
the default in the final release. I could personally care less about
the default images, but there's no way I would even consider
recommending the distro to anyone else.

Another pragmatic "no" vote here.
