Install Woes

I just tried installing Ubuntu on a AMD 2400+(SOYO Mobo) with 1.5gb
ram(corsair ram), gForce FX 5700 Ultra(eVga), 160gb
HD(WesternDigital). And on all the previous machines Ive installed
Ubuntu on, X was configured automaticly, but on this machine it dumps
me straight to a shell login. Any Ideas why, or does it have somthing
to do with teh age of my Video Card?
