System configuration tools crash!

I need to correct myself.
When running "gksudo time-admin" in a shell, I saw the password wasn't 
accepted. I should have typed my own password instead of the root password.
1) wouldn't it be useful give a message that the password is not 
correct, instead of exiting with "1 status"?
