back again ... same problem ... no mouse support

Have been trying to install Ubuntu 4.1. All seems fine until first boot
when I discover I have a dead mouse ... cursor is there but no response.
In the past have had the same problem with Fedora and Mandrake
installations, but SUSE 9.1 was OK.
