Is there a MAC address allow list? That was the last step that I missed
before I figured my housemate suddenly enabled WEP and MAC allow lists
instead of proper VPN. I don't care about anyone stealing our bandwidth,
the allowed MAC addresses can be sniffed anyway (though
I assume the command sequence gives you the right results otherwise? In
order to debug the issue, try connecting to a net without WEP first. For
educational purposes only, use Kismet to find one ;)
My guess is the authentification is the problem, the key syntax is
obscure and I am never quite sure I got it right until is works.

Jan
