moving to a different drive

sounds good,
why to i need to tar, will it exclude /proc, i remember that we didnt 
copied it.
can i keep my old grub when I copy the new kernel, etc.
to the /boot partition, so that i only need to change the drive parameters.

will try it after my meal ;)
