"Synaptic Package Manager" - Perhaps a more obvious name?

I second the motion. :-) Windows has "Windows Update" and OS X
has "Software Update...". Ubuntu could have something generic
like "Update Software" or "Get Software" or "Download Software"
or something more specific like "Update Ubuntu".

OS X also has a menu item called "Mac OS X Software..." which
leads to a page on Apple's Web site where most, if not all, of
the software available for OS X is located. So, even a name like
"Ubuntu Software" or "Software for Ubuntu" would be cool too.
