First, please start a new thread (i. e. do not reply to an existing
unrelated mail) if you have a new question, and use a good subject for
it.

The mp3 codec was removed due to patent issues, it cannot be installed
by default any more. So either go the Free Way (TM) and use ogg files,
or install gstreamer0.8-mad from universe.
