alsa support for ppc

hello,

when testing alsa on my powerbook with jack I get an unknown driver error:

$ jackd -d alsa soundfile.wav
jackd: unknown driver 'alsa'

this seems strange since, on my pc, alsa drivers worked fine out of the box.

also, when running the whereis command, i see alsa in three locations on
my pc: /etc/alsa /usr/inlude/alsa /usr/share/alsa
on my powerbook i see only two locations: /etc and /usr/share

has anybody had any luck with running alsa drivers on ppc?
