mount loop not working

Hi,

Kindly please look at the following and inform me what is missing.

mkdir /mnt/test

 mount t1.iso -r -t iso9660 -o loop /mnt/test
mount: could not find any device /dev/loop#

The above work fine in mandrake. This suggets that something is missing
in ubuntu.
