Thanks alot Sebastien but... (long winded story coming up)
i played around with the settings, in gstreamer-properties and now the
error dialog doesn't appear when a start up totem. But still crashes
when i go ot play a video file (mpg file in this case) Going to the
video tab in gstreamer-properties and testing the default video sink,
Xwindows (X11/XShm/Xv) comes up with another error dialog "failed to
construct pipeline...." i then changed the video sink to XWindows (No
Xv) and when i try to play the same mpg file i get the error "An error
occured Internal GStreamer error: pad problem. File a bug."..
changing to SDL video sink, i get a second window (without menu or
controls) when i try to play an mpg file with a tiny green square in
the corner. Any ideas anyone? Totem works perfectly under Fedora Core
2 (up to date).
Thanks in Advance,
