printing problem remains

Hello,
My printer, a HP OfficeJet G85 (a so called All-In-One device) is detected by ubuntu and the status is "ready" but I can not print anything. As soon as I push the button "print", an icon appears on the panel indicating printing is going on but nothing happens.
I have tried to solve the problem on my own without any success. I guess mostly due to this fact that I am a beginner.
I am sure there is some solution to this since I used to work with the same printer on Mandrake 10.
