I've been trying to use the Search function on gmane.org to find where someone
said this last week.
Basically, someone asked on this list whether GNUCash worked and at that time
the story was that one of the dependencies failed to build, however the bug was
fixed and by the looks of it, GNUCash has been built for both i386 and x64
architectures.
So what about PowerPC ... I'm not a guru but it seems that there must be a
problem building GNUCash for the PowerPC, probably something wrong in a
dependency. Now I've never done this, but maybe you could do some reading about
how to use apt-build. It may 'just work' or you may find where the problem is
with the source-code and be able to fix it!?
Unfortunately, as I understand, because GNUCash is in Universe, it's not
directly supported by the team and they are probably quite busy trying to get
everything happening for October 13th, and may not have time to help getting
this built at the moment.
I hope this helps,
Daniel
