IBM X40 results

Hey guys,

first, thanks for all your help with the vmware issue.  i ended up
losing my patience, taking the dive and just formatting my laptop and
doing a clean ubuntu install.

it went great!  everything works right out of the box so far.  even
the wireless.  i havnt had a chance to try out the infrared port yet
and im pretty sure it wasnt detected during installation, but i wasnt
expecting it to either.

im very pleased with my install and im really excited to have ditched windoze.

btw, battery life seems to be similar to my windoze install i think. 
are there any power management programs for linux that i should know
about?
