sudo and the root account

Have added a page to to the wiki discusing sudo, sudo -s, setting up root account and disabeling it at :-

Could someone please give me a reference to add to the page describing why Ubuntu uses sudo (a general discusion would be OK) so I can add ti to the page.

Could people please have a look and check for mistakes.
