My gnome desktop was made unusable by bug 1943, which is apparently
more-or-less defeated. I find myself short on free time, but I
obviously want to get Ubuntu up and running quickly. If I download and
burn a daily build from Windows, and boot off of that, can I smoothly
upgrade or install over my old install with a minimum of fuss and
without disturbing my XP partition? I don't care about keeping
anything on Ubuntu's partition.
