hello,
i've tried to install ubuntu a couple of times but i
don't come further than when you choose/make
partition/filesystem.
i have a current partition with reiserfs that i have
gentoo on and 1 gb swappartition.
and when i shall choose the partition to install
ubuntu on it can't find any partition, it thinks the
hdd is empty.
i have win2k too, and that installation could find the
partition table.
i've tried to install debian but the same problem
occurs there aswell.
i think it has something with gentoo's way to create a
partition table, but i don't know.
i have tried to have raid on it, but it always
troubled me all the time, so i erased the array and
installed everything over again.
then the ubuntu install could't create a filesystem at
all, tried them all (jfs, xfs, ext3, ext2 even fat32)
but none of the work.
i really want gnome-2.8 so i'm hoping for some help
here.
