The system boots and functions correctly its just annoying :)

Don't think so. I have hda1 ext3 formatted and hda2 as swap partition 
and it is complaining as well...  I guess the ext3 driver just tries to 
mount every available partition and bitches if it's not an ext3 one. It 
is no critical error though. But I'm no expert...
