NVidia question

Hi

I have a nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200] graphics card. Will I
have any benefit installing NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-6111-pkg2 in X? If
so what can one expect and what is the best way to install this on an
AMD64 without nvidia-glx.

I saw Felix's message on this and tried the script which I presume gives
me 64-bit glx however I have no nvidia kernel module. What else does one
need.
