I don't wish to compile it, just get it running, but my attempts to get
it using apt-get to get the deb package from
http://perso.ens-lyon.fr/samuel.mimram/debian/ were failing. 

They were failing due to a dependency on libosip0.  Eventually my brain
kicked in, I googled "libosip0 ubuntu" and discovered that it's in the
Ubuntu Universe repository, so I uncommented that in
/etc/apt/sources.list and bam! it all installed nicely.  I'm a happy
bunny, and thanks for everyone for their advice!
