Mirroring i386 locally

I am interested in the same thing.  A usable offline repository would be
a great tool. 

The only problem with the idea is whoever hosts the iso would suffer
huge bandwidth costs if the idea catches on. 

Online repositories may not always be the "best" idea for all
situations, but they are always the most efficient.

I will be interesting watching this and s.deleeuw's thread to see if
anything comes of this idea...
