Games : 'FlightGear' hangs ! :o(

Forgot to say,

I ran 'top' whilst playing the game, and it uses 93.5% CPU time, despite
having a decent Athlon XP 1700+ processor and 512MB of RAM, so I really
don't think it's using 3D ?
