.sxw file gets a zip-icon, when scand. letters in the name

I had a similar problem with OpenOffice on Windows. Windows insisted the
sxw files were zip files and it took some fiddling to get it to do
otherwise. (Presumably there's some compression in the sxw format?
Can you rename the file manually back to a .sxw and then open it?
