Games : 'FlightGear' hangs ! :o(

Hi Francis,

Thanks for the link. Apparently they talk about Apple computers, which I
don't have, but hopefully the info is also relevant to normal PC's ?

I did the 'glxinfo' command as they suggest, it says that I DO have
"direct rendering " ! Can't believe it, so that means that I didn't do
anything, yet Ubuntu automagically got 3D hardware rendering working ?
No need for drivers like they all talk about for their ATI "Radeon"
cards ? Wow, I am impressed ! :o)

Still, why does Flight gear hang then... :o(

Maybe a sound related issue ? Maybe it needs ALSA, maybe it hangs
because I use the old OSS system ?
I started Flightgear from a temrinal, but it didn't print ou any error
(or otherwise) messages, nothing at all, no clue :o(

Maybe I could try another program that uses 3D, just to see if it works
at all. I heard that 'Tux racer' uses 3D hardware rendering, so I will
download that see what happens.
