You might want to check if you are using the generic vesa-driver... Look
in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 in the Device section.



If it says 'vesa' or 'fbdev' in the driver entry then thats your
answer. The solution being to change it to a better one :)



What make is your graphics card?
