i think this is no bug at all,
its a problem with not up to date dns server setups, a up to date dns
(supporting v4 and v6 which is out quite some time now ....more than 6
years) will answer either way so it shouldnt get affected by the
protocol usage order....
...but if you suspect mozilla, its easy to change via the about:config
url with a search on v6, no file tweaking necessary here :)
btw, could you explain what another dhcp client (pump) does different
than the installed one (dhclient3), what a rewrite tool
for /etc/resolv.conf or a dnsproxy do to solve this....
i dont understand why these tools solve the above mentioned
mozilla "bug"....
