tdfx, glide, dri, powerpc?

Fellow listers,
I installed Ubuntu on my Old World Mac (200 Mhz 604e PowerTower Pro),
which has a Voodoo3 PCI video card installed (no onboard chip). (Side
note, the install was smooth! Once I dropped to a console from the
installer and modprobed 'mesh' for the SCSI cdrom, and 'mace' for the
onboard ethernet, it went without a hitch.)
Now, I would like to get hardware accelerated X working with the tdfx
XFree86 driver.
Googling for info on the tdfx driver, it seems like the Voodoo3 card
needs to have a module in
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri called tdfx_dri.o. For i386, xlibmesa-dri
provides tdfx_dri.o (along with the suggestion of libglide3). For
powerpc, xlibmesa-dri doesn't provide tdfx_dri.o.
Questions:
1) Is there a repository somewhere that has xlibmesa-dri with tdfx_dri
for powerpc?
2)If not, is it possible to build xlibmesa-dri on powerpc to get tdfx
support? And libglide3 as well?
3) If no to the questions above, what is a good cheap PCI card that has
support in ubuntu for powerpc?
Thanks for your time.
