system updating with synaptic - shortcuts

thats a really great idea !!

probably turning some screws on firefox to automatically download
all .deb files to this location would be a good idea....
....and while were at it....could gamin monitor the dir ? so that if you
drop/download a file in it "gksudo synaptic" is run ?
