Still unable to create launchers in GNOME menu

0.5. (Heh) Run Nautilus as root, if the system is so configured (mine is).
But that isn't supposed to matter, I think...I think each menu is a
user-by-user basis?
1. Go to "applications:///" location in Nautilus (Browser mode)
2. Right-click, select "Create Launcher"
3. Browse for the launched file, finn in the blanks, hit "OK."
4. And....nothing.
Incidentally, it doesn't matter if you're creating it in the root or one of
the folders or sub-folders. And you CAN create subfolders. Just not
launchers, which are the actual menu items.

How are you trying to create menu items? We can't help you if we don't know
