new version of live CD?

Will a new version of the live CD for Ubuntu be coming out anytime 
soon?  The final release
does not work with my wireless card (ipw2200) which works fine on an 
install, and also ppp
does not function.  This makes it impossible for me to connect to the 
Internet with the live CD,
and limits it's usefulness to me.  I filed bugs for these issues, and 
haven't heard anything in a while.
