Suggestion for new repository of software - new versions, of software in between Ubuntu releases

They are major packages, but don't introduce huge architectural changes
to the system core (like updating the kernel to a new major kernel
release, or switching from XFree86 to X.org). For instance, most people
would agree that the upgrade to Friefox 1.0 is much less involved than
switching from XFree86 to X.org, for instance. Am Dienstag, den
