initrd dsdt kernel patch

Does anyone have any thoughts on including the initrd dsdt patch in the Ubuntu
kernels? The homepage, http://gaugusch.at/kernel.shtml, says Suse 9.0 and
Mandrake 9.2 include it. It would only affect people who want to use it. And to
take it even further, the installer could maybe be extended to have an advanced
option to choose a custom DSDT from a predeifined list, or a user specified
location. I've submitted an enhancement to bugilla,
