Cookies and Firefox

Thanks Aaron. Yes I've done that and yes I may be running as root
because during the install, ubuntu asked me for a "user" name and I
assumed it meant my normal user. I wondered why it never asked me for a
root password. I would very much like to amend my system to use the name
I want as user to be a normal "user" and root to be "root" How do I tell
whether I'm running as root?When I sak for a root term, it takes the
password I thought I was giving as my "normal user" password.

Are you doing anything unusual like running Firefox with sudo or as
root?
