Cookies and Firefox

Hi Dirk! Have you tried setting (or resetting) the preferences in the
preferences window under "Privacy" and then "Cookies"? A reset there
might do it. I haven't seen the cookie dialog since the first time I
ran Firefox and allowed all cookies.

Are you doing anything unusual like running Firefox with sudo or as root?
