Failure installing KDE

For PPC there aren't as many options for Linux. For me it came down to
Ubuntu or Gentoo. I couldn't get Gentoo to install, too complicated for
someone like me <newb>.  Yellow dog is easy to install but it's not well
supported. I would more just like to the choice between KDE an Gnome.
Gnome is too much like windows for my taste.
