Evolution pains

I'm glad I'm not the only one....although I'm more annoyed at the fact
that evolution's processes eat up over 200+meg of memory when running
and that doesn't include spamassasin (which is needed to filter spam
easily)
I have killed Spamassasin in favor for Bogofilter which is doing a nice
job, but required me to setup special filters for spam...
Also anyone know why the Exchange package is required by the Ubuntu
evolution package?
I have a laptop with 128mb ram that I dumped Evolution off of and
replaced it with Thunderbird, but I had to add a custom mail client
Gnome's prefered Applications settings...
