Gimp and SVG - did we lose something?

Since moving to the hoary path, the Gimp seems to have lost the
ability to import/open SVG files. Or am I going crazy? I searched the
Gimp changelog and the Gimp and Ubuntu bugzillas, but didn't see any
mention of it.

I know I was using this feature a few weeks ago, but now I just get
"unknown file type" errors.

I don't THINK this is the case, but did I perhaps install some extra
package to get this functionality?
