New MIME system, and lack of "Run in terminal" option

Hi all.
When I register a new application to handle a particular MIME type in
nautilus, there's no "Run in terminal" option like there is when is use
"Run application" (<Alt>+<F2>). I've used right-click on a file in
nautilus, then "Properties", "Open With" to add "vim" (not gvim!), but
nothing appears to start up when I then choose "Open with vim" from the
context menu.
I realize that I can fix this by manually editing
~/.local/share/applications/vim.desktop. Should I log a bug, or is this
acceptable behaviour? If yes, against which package
(gnome-mime-data/mime-support/shared-mime-info?)
Thanks, Dave :-)
