Iomega Zip 100

Hello,
I just installed Ubuntu 4.10 and it seemed to detect my hardware except 
when I tried to mount my zip drive it says:
*mount: special device /dev/hdc4 does not exist

*My */dev* directory does not have a *hdc* device there, however when I
run the command: *dmesg | grep hdc
*It returns:
*hdc: IOMEGA ZIP 100 ATAPI, ATAPI FLOPPY drive

*I checked my fstab and there's not a listing for hdc there.

How can I make my zip drive work in Ubuntu?
