Warty Live CD and Video Cards

This is obvious so you may have already done it, but since you didn't 
mention it here goes:

Try removing the PCI video card when you re-enable the onboard video. 
Also, get the info from /var/log/XFree86.0.log which could have some 
useful information on why it is crashing.
