Linux dosnt install web-interface routers it just uses the 
http://10.1.1.1 from a browser (firefox) and you configure it from there.
I think you'll find your problem is that your default route is not setup 
right.

# route add default gw 10.1.1.1

and check your /etc/resolv.conf for a line or two that mentions the 
nameserver.

ie
nameserver 203.12.160.35
nameserver 203.12.160.36
