Just my two cents:
Maybe it's open, but it's not free. At least not according to the
definition of free software given by the Free Software Foundation (
'Free But Shackled - The Java Trap'
(http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/java-trap.html) ).

If Sun's Java License is free enough is up to everybody to decide for
himself/herself, though.
