I believe if you look about for a bit you'll find a hardware
compatability list. You're certainly right that totally proprietary
computers have a lower chance of being supported but that doesn't mean
anything really, hell, some of the most popular components still don't
work and some obscure shit works perfectly.

All in all, if you're planning on shoving a new mobo in it you can
find a mobo that you're certain will fit. This may not really be worth
it though.

Why not be the envy of everyone and build your own case? Far, far, far
more impressive :)
