Again, I am having to repeat myself, or explain otherwise simple
comments. But...
When you mentioned the "fascists and bigots" who used Ubuntu, who
exactly were you talking about? Plain simple answer please, not a whole
tangent about the democracy of this and the ideology of that...I've
already spent far too much time in this thread.
When I said it appeared that you were speaking not only from a social
or political standpoint but religious as well, I did not know what
religion you were. Frankly, it doesn't really matter to me in this
context. Beliefs that are imparted by religion tend to be more close to
one's self than most issues, and people seem to be more passionate
about. One of the things that overrides logic and reason.
Yes, the three things are related (being OSS, givernment, and
ideology), but OSS and government standpoints come *from* ideology.
Instead of sticking to one thing, you expanded to both and dropped it
there.
Regarding the way other people have reacted to your somewhat cryptic
and short first post, have I reacted with fear or hatred, or have I
asked probative questions to figure out what the hell you're actually
talking about? Unlike others, I try to understand things before I
decide if I will fear or hate them.
> The occupation of Iraq by Western Imperial powers (the head of whom is
> none other than the US government) is illegal. That's all I can say.
Without waving my stance on the war (if you would even call it that),
respectfully, you are not the deciding factor of what is legal and what
is not in foreign affairs. As far as I know, for a "war" to be illegal,
it must deviate from the Geneva Conventions, but so far, the
middle-eastern side of it never obeyed them. This means that the
conventionl laws of warfare are not upheld. If I am ever put into a
situation where a judgement call must be made outside of the law books
while in the field, I have to make a similar call, but I cannot be
punished or breaking something that is not there.
