I agree with Vince on this one.  I am a Hoary tester, and I think we
could benefit from having a separate list.  This way, when an upgrade
breaks something, we will be asking people who may also have dealt
with it without filling the Inboxes of those who aren't dealing with
such issues.  It would also give the developers working on Hoary a
specific place to look to see how the newest upgrades are working for
the user base, without having to sort through the mail from users who
are running the stable release.  The problem with splitting the lists,
I would guess, is the possibility of losing the wide base of
experience that makes the list work.  Many of the Hoary testers (not
necessarily including myself) are some of the more advanced users who
can fix their problems.  If these users subscribe to a tester list
alone, they would not be available to answer the questions of those
running stable.  I suppose any that were so inclined could subscribe
to both lists and receive no more mail than they currently are.
